Dr. Jochen Langheim

LangheimDr Jochen Langheim is currently Vice President of Advanced Systems R&D Programs at STMicroelectronics.

He can look back on more than 25 years of professional career in automotive electronics. It started in 1988 in Aachen University in the area of Electric Vehicles, where he obtained is PhD. Today he is again focussing on this subject as well as on connected and automated mobility. He is well connected in the industry being for example member of different industrial organisations like VDI in Germany or SIA in France. In the mobility and automotive competitive French cluster MOVEO, he acts as Vice President International Relations fostering already the cooperation of companies across borders. He also chairs two of the biggest automotive electronics conference organised by the SIA in Paris, the CESA congress on automotive electronics as well as APE on automotive power electronics. Finally, Jochen is a member of the automotive steering team of European Technology platform dedicated to Smart Systems integration, EPoSS and an active expert in the creation of roadmaps for autonomous, connected and electric mobility in the frame of cooperation such as ERTRAC, EGVIA or ECSEL.

Jochen has done more than 30 articles and presentations and received two prices for his work from the German VDE and the French.
